| Pause |
We pause, by stopping what we're doing-we
spend time with ourselves, care for our body, mind & spirit,
we reflect. Our natural awareness arises, allowing us to be mindful-to
recognize what is happening inside us without judgment. By pausing,
we begin to dismantle lifelong patterns that do not serve us and
nurture healthy new ways of thinking and being. |
| Exercise |
We take care of our physical body through
proper exercise. Including gentle and vigorous yoga postures, walking,
hiking, canoeing, biking, swimming, gardening, etc. Keeping our
bodies active and fit in the company of others or alone, mindfully
working to our individual capacity without causing unnecessary stress
and tension. |
| Yoga Postures |
Yoga postures (Asanas), discovered
many years ago assist our bodies to move energy and promote balance.
The ancient yogis experienced a tremendous amount of physical and
mental benefits. |
| Eat Well |
We eat moderately; food that nourishes
our body keeps our systems healthy and regular and does not overwork
our mind or our internal organs. |
| Breathe |
Our essential life force. We practice
proper breathing to ensure we utilize our lungs to their fullest
capacity, using our breath helps us relax our body and mind. |
| Relax |
Relaxing, the key that unlocks your
flow of energy. It takes practice and time to learn how to release
the knots and muscles that inhibit the flow of energy throughout
our bodies. Gross and subtle relaxation techniques help us become
more in touch with where we hold tension and how to effortlessly
release it. |
| Think Positive |
A great deal of energy is wasted on
thoughts that do not serve; that prevent us from being who we really
are. Slowly through awareness and reflection on our desires, thoughts
and behaviors we learn to recognize negative thought patterns and
replace them with powerful, uplifting ones. |
| Create |
We learn to express ourselves in our
work, relationships and play. Through art, music, and hobbies we
give ourselves time to explore our creative energy, share it with
others and be inspired. |
| Support our Environment |
In order to live this lifestyle we
take care of our environment and community through minimizing what
resources we use, keeping our impact on the earth light, and giving
back whenever and wherever we can. We simplify! |
| Meditation |
Practicing all or some of the above
leads us to meditation; a time for our mind to rest and our soul
to sing. |
